Quite possible that an entry level networking position may see a CCNA as a plus or most likely a requirement. Specializing, in my opinion, is a great way to go if you've already gained plenty of experience. Someone getting into networking may want to be well rounded as a start so they can open up themselves to other job opportunities. But I agree with you being a specialized is rilly very helpful but just focusing on one thing makes it very hard to hunt a good job you might not agree with me but I am speaking with my experience. Jobs nowadays are very specialized too so it doesn't make sense to study a whole lot of voice if you're just focused on switching.
