There’s an image that most people associate with tech support. It’s not a pretty one though. It may be due to people making numerous calls to level 1 tech support for their device in which they are asked multiple questions read off of a simple paper. There’s nothing wrong with a level 1 tech but it doesn’t really paint an overall picture for other techs out there. For example, from xkcd.com:
